As an All India Quota (AIQ) student aiming for Maharashtra engineering colleges, you do not need to take MHT CET. You can directly participate in the MHT CET counselling process (CAP rounds) using your JEE Main score. You'll need to register specifically for the MHT CET counselling, which is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. This registration typically involves filling personal/academic details, uploading documents including your JEE Main scorecard, and paying a counselling fee. You do not need to register for the MHT CET exam itself.

Yes, you have a good chance of getting a seat at an NIT with 87.5 percentile as an SC category girl. The SC cutoff for JEE Main 2024 was 60.09 percentile. While top NITs and highly competitive branches might be challenging, many NITs, especially newer ones or those in the Northeastern region, offer various engineering branches where you stand a strong chance. With an 83 percentile in JEE Mains and belonging to the OBC category, your approximate rank would be around 2.55 Lakhs. While direct admission to top-tier government colleges like VJTI or ICT Mumbai is difficult, you have good chances in several reputable private engineering colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Look into colleges such as Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering (Navi Mumbai), and DY Patil University (Navi Mumbai). Many ofthese colleges also co

With a 69 percentile in JEE Mains 2025, securing a seat in top government engineering colleges or NITs in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai will be highly challenging due to high cutoffs. However, several reputable private engineering colleges in the region may offer admission, potentially through the JEE Main score or management quota seats. Colleges like Terna Engineering College, Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, MGM's College of Engineering and Technology, Saraswati College of Engineering, and various campuses of DY Patil University in Navi Mumbai are worth exploring. It's crucial to check their sp

With an 81.7 percentile, your admission chances vary significantly based on the entrance exam. For JEE Main, this typically corresponds to a rank around 2.7-2.8 Lakhs. Securing a seat in top NITs or IITs is unlikely for the general category, but you might find opportunities in lower-ranked NITs (e.g., Agartala, Meghalaya), GFTIs, or good private engineering colleges, especially with home state quotas or reservations. For MBA exams like CAT/CMAT, 81.7 percentile opens doors to many reputable private B-schools and some university-affiliated institutes. Always check specific college cutoffs and other admission criteria.

To be eligible for admission to JEE Main, candidates need a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12th board exams (or be among the top 20 percentile). For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 65%. There is no minimum percentage required to appear for the JEE Main exam itself, but these board exam percentages are crucial for admission to the mentioned institutions.
