PES University in Bangalore usually admits students through its own entrance exam (PESSAT) or through high scores in JEE Main. With a 40 percentile in JEE Main, admission through merit quota would be difficult. However, PES also offers admission through management quota, especially if you are willing to bear a higher fee, which could range between rupees six Lacs to ten Lacs per year depending on the branch. You can also attempt PESSAT to improve your chances.

With a JEE Main rank of 13 lakh, chances of admission through JoSAA counselling are very slim. However, you can still get admission into private colleges, particularly through direct admission or management quota. Colleges affiliated with state universities, or private deemed universities with open admissions, often offer CSE seats if you're willing to explore Tier 3 cities or pay a slightly higher fee. Keep an eye out for colleges that accept board marks or conduct their own entrance tests for such branches.

Having 89-91 percentile of JEE Main, the general category is not expected to get CSE in best NITs (such as Trichy, warangal). Nonetheless, you are a good candidate to CSE/IT in some of the newer NITs (e.g. NIT Agartala, NIT Puducherry, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Silchar, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Durgapur), or other disciplines in mid-tier NITs.Where Nirma University is considered, the overall all-India cut-off is normally going to be better, say around 96-97 percentile in the case of CSE. But, in case you have a home state quota (Gujarat), your prospects in Nirma in CSE is high, because hom

With an OBC NCL category rank of 1,51,000, it becomes quite challenging to secure a seat in the core branches of NITs or IIITs through JoSAA rounds. However, a few newer IIITs or GFTIs may still have openings in streams like Metallurgy, Production, or even Civil in later rounds. Keep an eye on spot round announcements and also consider private colleges with good reputations and lateral entry or transfer options in the second year.

Having ranked as PwD category 527 in JEE Main, you get a very good opportunity to excel and obtain B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in best Delhi colleges in home state quota. Closing ranks in institutes such as DTU, NSUT and IIIT Delhi are usually much lower in the PwD category than in the general categories of applicants. To give an example, the earlier PwD centralized home state cutoffs of CSE in the IIIT Delhi were between the range of 1.6-4.5 lakh. To get the maximum opportunity to get admission, you must keenly attend JAC Delhi counseling.

According to the feedback of both experts and students, the JEE main 3rd April 2025 Shift 2 paper was, in general, regarded as of a moderate to difficult level. Chemistry ranked highly as the tougher part because the questions are unpredictable and many times time consuming, Physics was moderate, and Mathematics was also moderate but moment consuming and thought-provoking with difficult computations. Generally, it was slightly more demanding as compared to the morning of the same day and with regards to the January 2025 session.

A percentile of 59 will not be enough to get you seat in NIT. However if you are from a state which accepts JEE Mains as entrance exam for engineering colleges of that state then it's a different story. You will definitely get seat. You can use college predictor by Shiksha for JEE Mains to find out about probability of branch and college combination that you are likely to get.
Best wishes to you.
