You have two attempts now, which means double chance to make it up, but time of preparation is just the same. Start your preparation with a positive attitude. Stay updated with the revised exam pattern and prepare accordingly. Make a schedule and follow it strictly. Do not waste your time at all. Study for long hours but not at a stretch. One more thing your brake should be of a less time just to relax mind not to lose focus getting engaged in other things. Make a regular revision habit and work on your shortcomings. Do not be stressed or else it will lead to bad health and backlog. Do not feel bored as you have gone through the entire syllabus already just try to figure out where you could not perform. For January Exam-
Notification release date- 20th August 2019
Availability of mock test 2nd week of September 2019
Last date to submit application form- last week of September 2019
Last day of fee submission & uploading Image- 1st week of October 2019
Publication of allotted exam shifts and date- 1st week of October 2019
Application correction window- 1st to last week of October 2019
Exam Centre allotment 3rd week of October 2019
Availability of admit card- 3rd week of December 2019
JEE Main 2020 exam paper 1- 1st to 3rd week of January 2020
JEE Main 2020 exam paper 2- 2nd week of January 2020
Result declaration last week of January 2020
For April Exam
Online application form release- 2nd week of February 2020
Image correction window- February 2020
Mock test availability February 2020
Last day to submit application 1st week of March 2020
Last day for fee payment- 2nd week of March 2020
Admit card availability from- 3rd week of March 2020
JEE Main 2020 exam 1st-3rd week of April 2020

If you are planning to ACE JEE Mains 2020 January, then you must start preparing now itself. Coming to the strategy that should be followed
Summarize important points, start with fundamentals and lead to complex problems. Work on the calculations as it helps boosting speed and accuracy. Be clear on the fact that you must learn concepts and apply it, do not act to mug it up. Be clear on your fundamentals & applications. Work on the same questions with different approach, gradually you will get to know the easier approach. The only solution to conquer your concepts is practice, practice and practice. If we talk about organic chemistry then it is learning, understanding and the very thing constant revision. Work on sitting for long hours as it will help you study without losing focus. Make a separate booklet for named reactions and reaction mechanism. Work on the most recommended books rather than working number of books for the same thing. Always be optimistic towards your preparation and do not lose heart even if you do not get good marks sometimes. Along with this I would say never interact with the word backlog, do not postpone your daily plan for next day. Stay away from social media. Hope these tips will help you.
