If you have all your documentation in place, changing the name post-Class 12th will not cause any issues for admissions at JEE-accepting colleges. For applying to JEE after a name change, use your new names as in the affidavit when you fill up the application form for JEE. Upload name change affidavit and gazette notification / newspaper publication (if any) Attach the affidavit during admissions, along with certificates of class 10th and class 12 provided your old name. It is done to maintain the consistency and making this you can avoid any trouble at getting your documents verified.

If you are a female OBC candidate with an 81.7 percentile in JEE Main, you may be able to gain admission to several Tier 3 or lower-ranked engineering institutes. In comparison to Tier 1 and Tier 2 universities, Tier 3 institutions—which include private and certain state engineering colleges—typically have lower cutoffs. During the counseling process, review the precise cutoff trends for these colleges to determine the best possibilities, and look into colleges that accept lower percentile scores.
