Congratulations on securing a good EWS rank in JEE Mains!
As for your question, it is difficult to determine whether you can get a seat in NIT Calicut with rank 15795 in the EWS category as the admission process for NITs depends on various factors such as the number of available seats, the total number of applicants, and their respective ranks, among other things. However, you can refer to the previous year's cutoff ranks for NIT Calicut to get an idea about the expected cutoff ranks for this year. It ultimately depends on your personal goals and aspirations. If you are happy with the college that you can get admission to with your COMEDK rank and feel that it will provide you with the education and opportunities that you desire, then there may not be a need to drop a year and attempt the exams again. On the other hand, if you are determined to get into a more prestigious college and believe that you can improve your scores, then you may want to consider taking a drop and preparing for the exams again. It's important to weigh the pros and cons and make a decision that is best for your individual situation.
