There are no such typical steps. You must have done 12th with minimum 50% (any stream). It's up to the college or Institute whether they conduct any entrance test or not. There is generally a discussion, they may check your communication skills and may be an aptitude test.

Yes, you can pursue Masters in journalism after completing graduation in science. Journalism is a good subject you will have various options in your future. It will not affect your career as such because journalism has a scope in every field.

Mass communication and journalism is a field that requires a student to be aware of all the current affairs and must have a high graph of general knowledge. Admission process is simple. The criteria says a student to score 50%-55% marks in 12th (with any stream). First just do the registration whether online or visit the campus than fill the application form. You will require to submit some necessary documents.

PG Diploma is considered equivalent to a post-graduate degree, however, even by many, it is not included as a degree course. It is a Diploma course. MA is a post-graduate degree. Moreover, journalism and mass communication together is a wide topic that will cover all the aspects. It is not just limited to journalism only. You will have more options (other than a journalist).
