Yes, it is the best time to prepare for the entrance exam if you want to get admission in the top colleges of India. Apart from these books, I would recommend you to read Pratiyogita Darpan, which is a monthly magazine about GK (India and abroad) along with the everyday newspaper.

GGSIPU is one of the oldest universities in Delhi, and is considered to be the good one. The courses available there are focused nicely and beautifully. If you are thinking about the placements, then make the thing clear that it all depends upon the talents and caliber of the student. So, if you are joining anywhere for this course remember this course requires knowledge, friendly attitude, alert, and smart enough to tackle the situations. The university is good. And the course is perfect in nowadays. However, let me tell you that GGSIPU conducts the entrance test called CET for the Masters level students and release the cut-off for the Bachelors level students.

If you are applying for Masters programme, then an entrance exam is carried out, and if you are applying for Bachelors programme, then it depends upon your marks in class 12th. If you are looking for journalism and Mass Communication, then better to opt for degree programme course that includes combo of both these fields. Apart from this, you have option to go with either journalism degree or with mass communication one. And, you may also apply for some certificate or Diploma courses like that of photography, editing, writing etc. But, best is to go with journalism + Mass communication. It will cover a greater aspect of this field. Thank you.
