Mass communication and journalism are two different things. Journalism is purely related to news, whereas, mass communication is a wider term. You can opt for various specialised Diploma courses in different subjects.

You can refer to Arihant's Entrance Exam Guide to Mass Communication, Manorama Yearbook and Keval J Kumar's Mass Communication in India for the preparation.
