IIMC offers PG Diploma which you can do after graduation. A graduate in any discipline can apply JMI which offers BJMC.

CUCET is not required to get admitted in journalism and mass communication at University of Madras. Admission is based on score obtained in University of Madras entrance test TANCET and marks in graduation. Basic eligibility is that Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised college /university. Regards.

Hello Rajpal, the scenario depends upon how much practical knowledge you have gained during your studies. You need to be very active and have some good listening powers. Yes, you can apply in press industry after your masters but the scope of getting a job depends on you and your knowledge that you have gained.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Procedure for a course in Journalism through correspondence/distance education:
For pursuing a Bachelors programme in journalism through distance education, one needs to complete higher secondary (10+2 pattern) from a recognised institute. An orthopedic handicapped candidate can do Journalism and Mass Communication Course. If he/she is capable of reading and writing related to educational qualification, he/she can do the course. Because in Journalism and Mass Communication course, there are many future options like to be a blog/content writer, Script Writer, Creative Writer, Sub Editor, Copy Editor etc.

Both are very lucrative and rewarding fields. You should figure out your area of interest and choose a field for yourself. If reporting, anchoring, camera, editing, etc., interests you then journalism is the best option for you. If creativity, advertising designing, ideation and conceptualization, copywriting, etc., interests you, advertising is a great option.
