Yes, international students studying at Korea University have the permission to work part-time. But, they must meet the eligibility that Korea University has mentioned such as having a valid registration card with student visa (D-2), GPA of over 2.0 in the previous semesters, currently enrolled at KU (less than 8 semesters of enrollement). The working hours depends on the eligibility requirement (Korean language): 

Year 1-2

  • Level 3 or above: 10 hours (weekends, weekdays)
  • Completion of level 3 or above, completion of Intermediate 1 or above: 30 hours in weekdays

Yes, Korea University offers full-tuition waivers for international students at the UG level. These scholarships are Anam Global Scholarship, KU STEM scholarship, and KU Global Friends Scholarship. 

  • Anam Global Scholarship: All freshman applicants are considered, and the scholarship covers the full tuition fee for up to 8 semesters
  • KU Global Friends Scholarship: Covers the full scholarship for 4 semesters. This is for students of the third-world countries
  • KU STEM scholarship: This scholarship is for students who submitted Certificate of outstanding outputs in STEM. This covers full tuition of 4 smesters

Indian students should have completed primary and secondary education for admission to UG courses of Korea University. Students who want to take admission to PG courses, the students are required to have completed their school education and a Bachelor's degree. Also, an English language proficiency score like TOEFL / IELTS score has to be submitted at the time of Korea University admissions.

For admission to Korea University, Indian students have to submit English language proficiency score. They can submit TOEFL / IELTS / other equivalent scores. The minimum scores required in these tests at the PG level are given below: 

  • TOEFL iBT: 71
  • IELTS: 5.5 or higher

The total number of students at Korea University 39,851. Out of this, 21,000+ students are UG students and 10,000+ are PG students. Out of this, 3818 are international students at Seoul Campus. The university offers a number of courses in English.

As per some of the unofficial sources, Korea University acceptance rate is around 41%. The university is selective at the time of admission process. So, students with a good academic background have a higher chance of admission. For admission to UG course of Korea University, students must have passed High school. For admission to PG courses of Korea University, a Bachelor's course is required.
