Admissions are closed now at Karnataka University, Dharwad for M.A. In English courses. Karnataka University is a public state university in the Dharwad district of Karnataka State, India. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). As of 2014, the university has been awarded 'Grade A' by the NAAC. Karnataka University was granted 'University with potential for Excellence' status by the University Grants Commission. The M.A. English course is a two-year programme consisting of four semesters. It covers Literary Criticism, Drama, Fiction, Poetry, American Literature, Canadian Literature, Indian English Literature, etc. Each college may have its own topics and subjects depending on the course modules. Students should clear their Bachelor's degree, i. e. B.A. In English with 45P% aggregate marks or equal CGPA. They should have their Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.
