After LLB, one has following career options to choose from:
Civil Judge (Junior Division) exams organised by State PSCs for appointment of judges in the subordinate courts within the state. Central and state government. Also nominates advocates to represent them in District Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court and other tribunals. Advocates also have an opportunity of being directly appointed as a judge in High Courts and Supreme Court. Law officer exams of PSUs/PSBs offering the post of officer or assistant manager in executive grade. Short service commission in the Indian Army in the Judge Advocate General Branch/Law Cadre in the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Higher studies in law field include LL.M. degree and thereafter a doctorate. After getting LL. M. degree, one may appear for UGC NET exam conducted by NTA and after qualifying NET may apply for Assistant Professor jobs in universities and colleges.
As an employee in private companies or as a partner/employee in a legal consulting firm.
