Yes you are eligible for Income tax practice, but it is advisable to have a little more and prolonged exposure on taxation laws in your course, this can be easily done by choosing B. CM LL.B. As your integrated course. Although it is available at many colleges, LPU has made rapid strides due to its continued exposure to students. This five year integrated programme, approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), is recommended for those who are keen to understand taxation laws and help the business community in this task. On completion of the programme a student will be fully equipped with the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of taxation laws to become a responsible member of the legal profession. A large number of graduates also opt for various competitive exams for judicial and executive positions in Income tax department. If you have just moved to 12th grades, I would advise you to focus on your 12th grades and after that you should definitely go with 5 year integrated programme. Depending upon your subjects in class 12th and your interest you can select BA/BBA/B.Com LL.B. Now the major point to be kept in mind is choosing LL.B. Course from a right university so that you are properly aligned with your goal since your enrolment and duration of course.
