There are people who don't recommend this college (FIMT) and one such person is a current student at FIMT. As per the current student:
"I don't think it is a good idea to pursue law from FIMT because I am also pursuing my BA LLB from there only.
There are several reasons:
It is near slums, so there is very less connectivity to reach college and also the Kapashera bus stand is around 1 or 1.5 KM from the college. Teachers are not so co-operative (but some exceptions are always there).
Discipline: 75% attendance is necessary, 9:30 AM sharp, entry in the class after 9:40 AM entry will not be accepted. And whatever I have said in 4th point is not true. But they will act like this only.
6. It has got the best canteen award among IPU colleges and is expensive. Despite all the drawbacks, the decision is up to you.

Application for admission in a course should be made only in the prescribed form, which will be sent along with the prospectus. Application form properly filled should be sent only to the Admission Office or handed over in person along with following under mentioned documents:
1. Photocopy of the mark sheet of qualifying examination attested by a Gazetted Officer.
2. Prescribed Registration Fee; Registration Fee can be paid in cash at the Admission Office or by DD in favor of the respective institution.
Admission notices will be sent to the selected candidates intimating the dates on which they should report at the Admission Office with the following Original Certificates and remit the prescribed fees in full.
If any candidate is found to have secured admission by fraudulent methods like presentation of forged certificates, documents, mark sheet, cheque, bank drafts etc., he/she will be dismissed from the college at any time during the course and will forfeit the fees paid already.
Mark sheet of the qualifying examination and Pass Certificate.
Migration Certificate.
Conduct Certificate.
4 recent Passport size color photographs.
Any other document required.
All students including Foreign Nationals and NRIs seeking admission to any course should attach a photocopy of the mark sheet of qualifying examination and proof of age, duly attested, along with the Application. The candidate should produce authentic Certificate indicating the corresponding marks for each grade in the mark sheet.
Applications, which are incomplete or not accompanied by the prescribed documents and Registration fee, are liable to be rejected.
The Scrutiny Committee will process the Applications and provisionally select the students after interview, if necessary, on merit. Applicants from distant places may be selected on the basis of merit without interview.

Hi Asim, the law degree which is offered is a 5 year long course and the other is a 3 year long course and in both the courses you cannot choose a specialisation. You will study all departments of law, and specialization comes into picture only by during LL.M (Masters). So you should do a 3 year LL.B and then you can specialise in any subject you want in your LLM. However, in India, there is less scope and almost no university offers a specialization in criminal investigation and/or commercial corruption law and governance. Further, you can look for a Diploma course in this subject if you're not willing to go through 5, 3 years of studying law.
