As per the rules of Bar Council of India (BCI), one cannot pursue an LL.B. Course through distance/correspondence/online modes. Only a full-time LL.B. Is recognised to be eligible to practice law in India. There are colleges, which promises to allow students to complete their LL.B. Course through distance mode. However, such courses or arrangements are completely illegal and one should not fall into such traps.

Good evening dear,
There is no such provision where admissions are taken on the basis of Merit in 12th for LAW. Each and every institute has an admission test which it conducts. Once the entrance test is cleared, further admission process is done. Thanks and all the best.

In the first sight, I suggest you not to opt any private law colleges. Going to a National Law University helps you a lot and moreover, do not rely on the rankings provided by India today or NIRF. The private law colleges create a hype just by bribing them and also, no private university or college can't compete with the standards of National Law Universities (Exceptions to Symbiosis Pune and CHRIST colleges of law)
