The admission process for the Kerala University LLM course starts with registration for the entrance exam. The cutoff rank for NALSAR varies every year. It is determined based on applicants CLAT score. In 2024, CLAT Round 5 admission list was the concluding round for NALSAR Hyderabad BA LLB (H) course admission. During the counselling, the last round closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) was 167 for the General category under the All-India quota.

No, NALSAR University of Law does not grant admission without CLAT score. Hence, the course aspirants must take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure a valid score. CLAT is a pen and paper based test conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). After the entrance exam, cutoff marks are announced. Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria become eligible for participation in the CLAT counselling.
