The LLB 3 years course is different from the five-year integrated LLB courses such as BA LLB, BBA LLB,  BSc LLB, BCom LLB etc. Every law school or university offering an LLB degree follows the eligibility criteria prescribed by BCI. Candidates seeking admission to an LLB course must hold a bachelor's degree of three years or four years' duration from a recognised university with minimum 50-55 percent in aggregate.

Direct entry into ILS is not possible in the first year. Admission is by entrance test only. However, you can apply to transfer after the first year.

Earlier direct admission was taken based on 12th marks with different cut-offs for science and commerce students

With the introduction of the MHCET examination and Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT), the candidates now have to achieve a certain score to qualify for ILS which is the main admission criteria for BA LLB in ILS Law College.

Getting admission to the School of Legal Studies at CMR University for LLB is achievable, but it's not effortless. You'll need to meet their eligibility criteria, which includes having a decent undergraduate score and performing well in the CLAT or equivalent entrance exam. They also consider your personal statement and extracurricular activities. If you have a strong academic background and a genuine interest in law, you have a good chance. However, admission isn't guaranteed—it's competitive, but definitely worth pursuing if you're committed.
