Safety of students is the utmost priority of LPU. Considering the present pressing times of COVID-19 outbreak, keeping the prime focus on student health
safety along with quality learning, the following initiatives are being planned:
a. Blended learning approach may be used for teaching thereby ensuring safe student learning. A
combination of physical classes, online live classes, MOOCs will be used to ensure effective learning for
the students. University has already established tie ups with Simply Learn, Coursera, Upgrade, Edx etc. To
facilitate effective online learning. Since lockdown:
I. More than 35000 hours of online classes have been held
ii. Live Chat sessions conducted for every class using LPU Live app
iii. 2000+ MOOCs have been completed by faculty and students
iv. 100+ FDPs, Webinars have been conducted online for faculty. Evaluation norms of all the courses is also been revised. Considering the social distancing parameters
and judiciousness of evaluation system in mind, a mix of continuous assessment-based evaluation, online mode of evaluation and physical evaluation for different courses in various programmes, will be

Generally, a student would be visiting the foreign university on a Study Visa in case of credit
transfer. A student usually is allowed to work for 20 hours in a week during teaching period in
majority of the countries (except Switzerland). During the non-teaching period, the working hours can
get increased up to 40 hours per week. Otherwise, we need to consider the laws for students part time
jobs vary from country to country. In case you got study visa, then part time job opportunities are available. As you may be already aware, it is not legal for you to do part time jobs outside of University, except internships. You face the prospect of being deported back to your country. There are lot of other jobs like library assistants, student patrol helping University police, restaurant jobs etc. You are allowed to work for maximum of 20 hours per week, and on an average you may get from $8 to 12 per hour. During semester holidays, they may not be available. By and large, thus should take care of your living expenses, Finding a part-time job while studying abroad is an invaluable way of digging into the local culture and earning some much-needed money. There are a number of creative ways to find jobs while studying abroad. Few of the options are :

Under credit transfer opportunity, student can study part of the programme (generally two years in case
of Undergraduate programme or 1 year in case of Masters programme) at LPU and complete the rest
of his/her degree at a partner foreign university from USA, UK Canada, Australia or other countries. In such case students get the final degree from the foreign University abroad with which he/she
completes later part of the degree. It is cost effective as it saves almost 50% of the cost to get a
