To qualify for MCA programme at LPU candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in BCA BSc CS BSc IT BSc BCom or BA with 55-60% total marks and have completed Mathematics at their 10+2 or graduation studies. Students who lack CS and Math knowledge must first finish required bridge courses. Students gain admission through LPUNEST which serves as both a scholarship examination and admission test but students who achieve 80% or higher will receive admission exemption while reserved category and North-East and Defence candidates will receive 5% admission concession.

Aspirants need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate for BTech Biotechnology, Food Tech and Biomedical.

The exam body, Lovely Professional University (LPU) will prepare the PET result on the basis of candidate's performance in Physical Efficiency Test. The result of LPU PET will be displayed on the student LPU Admit Portal which will be easily accessible from the official website. If candidates want to qualify in the exam, they need to pass through all the parameters set by the exam body which is mentioned in the structure of the LPU PET exam.
