As far as the programme is concerned, the LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to -date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world class. The dedicated faculty gives the students a hands -on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. Hi there, the aim of LPU is to cater to all those who are interested in studies in whatever capacity they can. For working people LPU has part time and Ph.D. from distance learning. Both Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme. Duration of Ph.D. programme will be Minimum 3 Years & Maximum 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and tentative schedule is mentioned below:
Option I Duration - One semester - August to November 2021 - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December 2021- 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily)
Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December 2021 - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily)
For Full Time Ph.D. students :
After presenting a State-Of-the-Art (SOTA) seminar, there is a fair chance for the students to pursue teaching assistantship in LPU only. Though the selection completely depends upon the selection committee & requirement. There are huge scholarship opportunities for the Ph.D. students
1) Upto 90% for Full Time and 70% for Part Time on the basis of LPU NEST cut off
2) Scholarship of up to 90% of the Programme fee is offered in Ph.D. programmes on the basis of GATE/ GPAT/ SPM/ JRF/ NET (LS)/ affiliations and/ or research outcomes. For example candidates from Centrally Funded Research Labs/ Industry Professionals/ Teaching Fraternity etc. Are considered for various Scholarship.

Our rooms were spacious, gave us privacy and also gave us space to hangout with friends and chit chat, do projects, spend movie nights and game on!

The quality of food that we get in the mess is very good. One of the things that LPU does the best is that is regularly checks the food quality and any complain about the food is dealt with immediately. Everyday Food menu gets changed. I had some friends from Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Telangana so they were provided south indian food and I am found of Idli, vada, dosa so sometimes we used to shared the foods also. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. You can't carry alcohol and smoking products inside the campus and hostels. Because security guards are the king and if you're found involved in such activities, you will get into trouble.
