I guess both the university are great and well known. But as I am a student of LPU I know much better about it that LPU is best for this course. They have everything we students could ask for. The school of mechanical engineering has well-qualified labs and experienced faculty members, mostly all of them from IIITs, NITs, IIITs, and that too they usually PHDs. They have also specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Their Department is known for offering innovative Live Projects that helps students in providing technical exposure while developing state of the art applications. A team of engineering students of LPU bagged Level One Position at Delta Automation Contest-2017 in China in a tough competition with 75 teams from across Asia. In another FEAT ME students of LPU designed a futuristic Formula One Racing Car and grabbed 2nd position at SAEINDIA 2017, Noida. And When it comes to placements, There are more than 100+ companies that are coming to LPU for the recruitment of mechanical students. The packages vary from 3 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. On average, the packages are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more. The highest package availed is 31 LPA by Codenation. Rs 7.9 LPA from Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India and Rs 7.5 LPA from Wilmar. So I guess this says all, Hope this will help you.

Hi, as one of my friend went for this let me just share the details. Lovely Professional University offers migration/ transfer opportunity to the students in various programmes. Every year many migration/ transfer students amalgamate from across the country. The steps to be followed include:-
Applicants need to fulfil the following basic eligibility requirements in order to apply for Migration/ Transfer process. The application of the applicant who meets the eligibility requirements will be reviewed and verified by the University Officials for further process. Applicants, who are pursuing regular degree programme from the accredited institution, are eligible to apply for the migration/ transfer. The Programme you are interested to apply at LPU should be similar to the programme you are currently enrolled in. The applicant needs to satisfy the minimum percentage required in eligibility requirements of current year in which student is seeking migration/ transfer. Students who are seeking migration/ transfer are requested to apply in certain time line kindly refer LPU website. This helps to ensure that the transfer students will be able to join the classes in the upcoming term of the select programme with existing batch after verification of the documents. If migrating applicant has Backlog/ Compartment/ Reappear in any subject may not be considered by the University for Admission. Applicants who are previously enrolled in a regular Programme, may not be considered for admission to Dual Degree/ Integrated/ Honours/ International Exposure/ Credit Transfer Programmes. Application for admission will only be accepted if applicant shall spend two or more years in LPU. Migration/ Transfer Request in Programme is subject to the availability of the seats in that Programme.

Hello Karan, My Cousin's brother completed his B. Design degree in Multimedia from Lovely Professional University. He is placed in Rockstar games now as Lead Facial Animator. He worked in Red Dead redemption 2 and now working in GTAVI. As his feedback, I would like to recommend that LPU is one of the best places in India for Multimedia, Graphics, and Gaming. The faculty members are from the industry like red chilies Studios, Prime focus studios and they have experience of more than 15 years. The multimedia department has a separate block and has well-equipped labs with dell workstations to handle high-end software like adobe after effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Nuke, Fusion, Z brush, photoshop, etc. Even the department has good quality of resources like Black magic cinemas cameras, canon cameras, trolly, jib, and well-equipped special VFX studio with permanent Chroma backgrounds. Placements are also great. This year also my friends and juniors got placed in companies like Amazon, rockstar games, Kony India, Xentrix studios, Lolly POP Design Studio etc. With average packages of 5 Lacs per annum and maximum packages are 8 to 10 Lacs. Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing MCA I do have my friends who are pursuing the same. LPU's School of Computer Application is ranked among the top four Computer Applications Institutes of North India by NASSCOM. Students from all across India and 15 plus countries around the globe are expertly mentored by an experienced and proficient team of faculty members. Students have an instant access to the latest technology labs like iMac, SAP, etc. That keeps them updated with the ever-changing technologies. MCA students developed a Home Security System which was displayed during Project Expo. The security system featured an alarm and also a security alert on the users mobile. LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech labs and dedicated MAC lab for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it. In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Curriculum is equipped with 21st century digital technologies for game designing, animations and web development. There were many Trainings, projects and guest lectures collaborated with industries help to learn from real life situations. LPU will encourage students to have maximum industrial exposure through visits for problem identification and emerging technologies. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. MCA students will get ample of opportunities of placements. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several Big Brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic session 2020-2021 for campus placements like Google, Amazon, Tech Mahendra, CTS, Adobe, etc. LPU students have also availed opportunities of Placements in government services like Indian Army, Indian Navy, Transport Corporation of India, etc. Through on-campus/off-campus placement drives and SSB interviews.

Being Alumni of LPU, I would like to answer this question. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPU NEST. So, qualifying the same, you can proceed for Admissions. Admissions in LPU have started for most of the programmes. LPU is currently inviting applications for B.Tech in various streams, so you can apply from their website. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps :

3. Choose the programme

Scholarships provide an opportunity for the students to earn an education. Of course, there are numerous students who are deserving and yes LPU would be the best platform for them which give them the way to attain their degree in much affordable way. The fee structure depends on many factors like the programme you want to join, the ability of the student, the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination and in the entrance tests if applicable. So, applicable fees for the programme depend on the Scholarships if any is applicable. The fees for a MBA programme is Rs 190,000 twice in year. Applicable fees for the programme depend on the Scholarships if any is applicable. Scholarship will generally be awarded on the basis of previous performance in academics, cultural, sports or other activities or under specific scholarship schemes category for a particular section of students. Financial Aid will be provided to the students belonging to underprivileged students like orphans, persons with disability etc. Or some specific groups like Wards of Defence personnel etc. LPU Scholarship scheme up to Rs. 6 Lac per student Students have been awarded with scholarship worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only. Chandigarh University is the one which provides SAP course inside the university, which has placements too. The placements of passing-out batch 2020 have bucked the fears of a slowdown in campus recruitments due to the global pandemic and lockdown situation prevailing in the country. Continuing its success story in Campus Placements, Chandigarh University saw 119 MNCs conducting virtual recruitment drives during the lockdown phase which has turned-out to be a national record. This was informed by Chancellor, Chandigarh University, Satnam Singh Sandhu, and Vice-President, Corporate Relations, Prof. Himani Stood during a media interaction at University Campus. While giving details about the Campus Placements for its students during the lockdown, Satnam Sandhu said, "With 119 Multinationals which includes 57 new recruiters conducting Virtual Placement Drives during lockdown phase, the total number of recruiters for 2020 batch has touched 691 companies which is 30% more than last year while the number of offers has registered a growth of 40% and touched a whopping figure of 6617.
