The eligibility criteria which the students must fulfil in order to get eligible for admission to the Masters in Engineering course are listed below:
The candidate must have completed a degree in the graduation in engineering or a similar level from a UGC or other recognised institute. The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 55% in the qualifying exam with all the subjects put together. The candidate must have passed 10+2 level exam with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects and one optional subjects among Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science. Some of the institutes may also conduct their own entrance test or PI to test the eligibility of students for admission. Admission Process
The admission process for Masters in Engineering course depends on the type of the institute. While some institutes may conduct their own entrance test to evaluate the students, some of the colleges might take the admission on the basis of the merit of the student in the qualifying exam. As the initial admission process, the merit of the students is evaluated based on the documents as submitted by the student at the time of application. If the student passes the eligibility requirement for admission, he/she will have to appear for the written test, followed by the interview round. Based on the overall marks obtained by the student in the written test and interview round, if the student qualifies, he/she will be called for the counselling round. The admission to ME course in specific college will also depend on the number of seats available, marks obtained by the students and the reservation policy of the college. After the counselling round, the selected students can pay the admission fee to secure their seat for admission.
