The basic eligibility criteria set for M.Sc Mathematics course is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with mathematics, as the main subject, from any recognized university or board. So, if you had Mathematics as one of your main subject in graduation, then you can apply for the course.

There exist plenty of higher degree options for those who have completed their Master's degree in Commerce. Those who are interested to build up a strong career preferably in academic field can go with M.Phil or Ph.D. in the area. MBA in Finance is another good option for these candidates. There are various universities which offer you to pursue PhD programme. The eligibility criteria varies in all the universities. You can appear in UGC NET Exam for pursuing PhD in India's top colleges. It's not compulsory that to appear in NET exam. There are also other exams through which you can get admission in PhD. You must have 55% aggregate marks to appear in NET examination.

So, start preparing for the entrance exams, because without qualifying these tests, you will not be eligible to pursue Ph.D.
