Pearl Academy entrance exam is conducted in multiple cycles throughout the year by the Pearl Academy of Fashion. The exam consists of two stages:
Stage 1 - Candidates have to appear for a written examination at their respective test centers mentioned on their admit cards. The written test comprises of two sections - General Proficiency Test (GPT) and Design Aptitude Test (that). GPT assesses the candidates proficiency in the English language along with Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. While that evaluates a candidate's aptitude for communication, drawing, creativity, and tests his/ her ability to design, imagine and observe. Stage 2 - Candidates have to appear for a Personal Interview after the examination to showcase their portfolio and in the case of design streams, to undergo a material handling skill test. The GPT comprises the following topics as under.
1. English language
2. Logical reasoning
3. Quantitative ability
4. Data interpretation
So as per the syllabus of entrance test, there is no current affairs questions asked in entrance test.

Yes, you can do M. Des from NIFT on the basis of B.Com. The eligibility criteria for M. Des course is given below:
1. Educational qualifications: Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute /University recognized by law in India. or
Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
2. Qualifying Age: No age limit
Note: Master of Design (M. Des. ) is an advanced course that demands an understanding of fundamentals in design and presupposes that candidates would be familiar with the basic skills and theories for successful completion of the programme. The course would not provide any basic knowledge and skill development in design as a part of its Masters programme.

Yes, you can pursue. The eligibility criteria of National Institute of fashion Technology (NIFT) is given below.
1. Educational Qualification for Masters Programme in Design:M.Des (Master of Design): Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
2. Selection process for M.Des: For candidates to the PG Design programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test CAT and General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.
