Your b. Tech score n gre score will matter. College plays secondary role. If not a lot of students from your college apply to USA then arranging LOR or PPI can be difficult. But you can prepare well in advance for that by speaking with your teachers at an early stage

Gre general is the test you are looking at. The subject tests are required by a few universities for specific programs.
