It depends on what specialization u r planning for and is the degree recognized world over. For instance, engg degrees from USA or Germany are preferred by all global industries so check that and decide.

My advise shall be that you take up an appointment. Gain some field experience to be able to cope with MTech course in Canada. You will get better appreciation of course and may help in your part time assignments if allowed.

Nothing. it is equivalent and you can do anyone. In India it is generally m.tech except Iit Madras they also offers m.s. however in abroad they offer generally M.S
