An astronaut is a person trained by a human space flight program to command, pilot, or serve as a crew member of a spacecraft. Although generally reserved for professional space travellers, the terms are sometimes applied to anyone who travels into space, including scientists also. Following are the general eligibility criteria to become astronaut:
(a) Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in engineering, science, or mathematics etc. An advanced degree is desirable.
(b) At least 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft. Flight test experience is highly desirable.

The procedure is different for different university. Most of the processing is online.
Some universities are taking admission by conducting admission test and some of them take admission by counseling process .
The counseling process should depend on your percentage of math in B.Sc.

To be eligible for a scholarship, you would need to score high marks in the qualifying examinations (Entrance exam) and have a strong undergraduate degree (High CGPA). Many institutes have special arrangements for scholarships awarded to International students. You should check with your target institute for details regarding scholarships and its pre-requisites.
