Your career will depend on your academic performance and skillset. Somehow university reputation also matters. RnD opportunities are available in various sectors from health sectors to space research organizations. You may also get into teaching. If research is your ultimate goal consider doing a PhD too.

Before enrolling into any one year programme, it is recommended that you check directly with the universities if you have not done so yet. They may consider your application after a WES evaluation. If WES evaluation option is not available by the concerned university check any 1 year PGD programme or complete the first year of a M.SC programme closely related to your desired field in India.

Your ultimate goal is a Ph.D, so the programme combination won't really matter. Education system abroad is very different also. Stick to your goals, perform well in class, engage yourself with high-class research work and publication and try to enroll in MS -Ph.D abroad for better job prospects.
