The documents that are required for admission to MSc courses at Mangalore University are meant to be proof of educational qualification, statement of purpose, etc. The names of the documents that candidates should bring at the time of a document verification or while applying for the course online are:
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates,
- Two passport-size photographs
- Aadhaar card
- Caste Certificate

Usually the university releases its application form for postgraduate courses in the month of June. The eligibility criteria to get admissions into MSc courses at Mangalore University are that candidates are required to complete their BSc degree with Chemistry as optional/major/special subject with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category –I candidates. Moreover, candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as optional/major/minor/subsidiary subjects either at the BSc or at Higher Secondary level.
