Hello, Admissions in Tamilnadu are based on strict criteria which are given out by Anna University which controls and processes the complete admission system for admission to different engineering colleges in the state. JEE Mains is required to be cleared if a student wishes for admission in any of the National Institutes of Technology or centrally funded technical institutes or also into IIT. However Tamil Nadu Government since last year, has stopped entrance exam for admission to engineering colleges in the state. Of course this is applicable for government colleges and government aided colleges. Deemed to be universities located in Tamil Nadu are outside the purview of this order, hence you are required to score well in your class 12th examination to get admission into this college, since these marks only will decide your merit in the list and if you are having a good merit then definitely you will get admission here.
