Yes, evidence of proficiency in English is needed for admission. Students usually present a score in IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo. For bachelor's degree, 6.0 in IELTS is sufficient, and for postgraduate, it typically requires 6.5 overall. If you studied in the medium of English or you're from an English-speaking country, you may claim a waiver, which must be sanctioned.

GBS Malta follows a rolling admissions policy, so you can apply at any time of the year. Nevertheless, to enable sufficient time for visa application, documentation, and accommodation reservation, international students are strongly advised to apply at least 3–4 months ahead of their most preferred intake. GBS Malta generally has several intakes throughout the year, particularly for high-demand courses such as Business and Management.

GBS Malta has an open and student-centred admissions policy. A student's general potential rather than grades is considered important. Applicants meeting minimum academic qualifications and English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS or equivalent tests) will most likely be offered a place.
