To get admissions into BBA courses at SMIT Sikkim, Manipal University candidates are required to complete their Class 12 with at least an aggregate of 50% in any stream. Additionally, on the official website of the institute, it does not mention that the institute accepts direct admissions to BBA courses. However, it is still suggested to the candidates that they can reach the admission department of the institute directly for the queries related to direct admissions at SMIT, Manipal University.

Moreover, SMIT Manipal University offers BBA courses in Business Analytics and Fintech specialisations. The seats for MSc courses offered by SMIT can be secured only by merit in the last qualifying examination. SMIT, Sikkim has no agents or middlemen for admissions. There is no donation or capitation fee of any kind. There are no management seats too for MSc coursres. Candidates are advised to apply directly to the institute through online or offline mode. They are cautioned against going through any agents.

SMIT, Sikkim, has separate hostels for boys and girls and provides accommodation to MSc students. The hostel rooms are two-seaters, well-furnished, and have attached bathrooms with hot water supply during winter. There are separate student messes for boys and Girls. Canteens & food courts are also available for vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Recreation rooms with TVs, separate gymnasiums for boys and girls, and sports facilities are available.
