Yes, SMIT Sikkim does offer scholarships to BSc students on the basis of their merit (scores achieved in Class 12), economic status, sports achievements, etc. Refer to the table below for the names of scholarships offered by the institute for BSc courses along with the percentage of tuition fee concession.

The total number of seats offered in BSc courses at SMIT, Manipal University is 140, whereas 13 seats are offered at Tezpur University. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology offers several BSc specialisations in different fields/streams. Moreover, the institute does not offer a maximum number of seats in any BSc specialsiations, because the institute offers 20 seats to each BSc specialisation. SMIT only offers 20 seats for each BSc specialisation, which can result in higher competition to secure a seat.

Admissions to SMIT BSc programmes are open early, and students are encouraged to apply early since the institute has limited seats. Applicants can apply before appearing for their final exams. The admissions committee will take into account the marks of previous year/exams in processing the applications. Applicants who receive offer letters can join with a provisional admission and submit their results later. To retain their admission, students must have received a minimum of 55% in a board recognised by the Government of India.

Both Presidency College and MAHE are good options to pursue BCom. However, in terms of affordability, Presidency College is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue BCom at Presidency College is INR 3 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue BCom at MAHE is INR 3.66 lakh.
