Honestly, both corporate event management and wedding planning are very different from each other. If you enjoy official parties, then you may probably go for corporate event management, but if you like all those chirping noises and informal gatherings, then opt for wedding planning.

Let me tell you that after BA, MA would be like an icing on the cake but you have other options like you can go for MBA, LLB and can also go for civil services like UPSC as you have mentioned that your elders asked you to pursue mass communication. Let me tell you that here comes the point of getting confused as students get confused. A student should either listen to what his/her elders say or do what they want. If in Kolkata, I guess you can give it a try for SRFTI (depending upon their eligibility) or else ILEAD is there which offers great Masters course in media.
