Hi,
According to my suggestion, you would get growth, income and profile in event management. Hotel management program require few years to reach up to manager level and that you can get, when you have MBA degree with you.
Otherwise in event management with a BBA degree, you can reach at good level and get huge income, but that require strong people management techniques, communication skills, IQ level and marketing strategy.
All the best.

Education totally depends on a particular passion and hunt for knowledge. If you have commitment and dedication for education then gap year or any hurdle won't make any difference.
So be positive and move further and get the degree for your enhancement in knowledge and qualification.
All the best.
