Hi,
Yes you can go for BMC even after passing your 11th and 12th from commerce stream since mass communication is not a steam specific field.

Mass communication is a great career option only when you have interest on it.
As a Mass Communication graduate, I can honestly say there are several paths you can take with the broad knowledge you'll gain. Choosing the right internship and the right minor will help you go far in any of the following career paths. Advertising, Broadcasting (TV/Radio/Web), Journalism (Newspaper/Online), Public Relations, Marketing, Publishing, Film, and any other subcategories from these.

You may pursue PG course in mass communication. The diploma course will take one year whereas degree course will take two years. You may think and decide which course do you wish to go for.

You should try and join a college/institute that is managed/run by a media house as you would get better exposure in terms of domain knowledge and career prospects.

Dear Sneha,

You may do a short-term Radio Jockey course from DU or RK Films for RJ to learn about the basics of it. Also, to become an anchor, you need to have the face value, and in the case of a radio jockey, you need to be spontaneous and have a good command of your language, as these are the things that are not taught during the course.
