In order to pursue Bachelors in mass communication and journalism, Symbiosis is the best as it actually provides you a Bachelor degree which Xavier Institute of Mass Communication (XIMC) does not. XIMC only offers Diploma and certification courses which are not degree courses. Moreover, XIMC is known more for its post-graduate diploma and certifications.
However, St. Xavier college (The main college) provides a degree course under the name of Bachelor in Mass Media and Bachelor in Journalism very separately. Comparing it to Symbiosis, I advice you to go for Symbiosis considering all the mandatory factors.

Preparing for entrance tests of Journalism and mass communication requires you to be much updated on the current affairs, general knowledge and language perfection. Different colleges have different level of entrance examinations for this field and particulary the good ones are harder to get such as IIMC, Symbiosis, Xaviers or Jamia for that matter.
For a Bachelor degree, you won't require a hard-on schedule or sleep less nights for the entrance as most of the colleges offering this course are private and have a smooth entrance. Colleges such as from DU and IP University have different criteria for admission as one is based
