GIBS offers students a well-rounded education by allowing students to manage their time effectively. Core academic classes, case discussions, and project work are supported by student clubs, sports, cultural events, and volunteer opportunities throughout the school day. While core academic courses have priority over all other activities and are offered during regular business hours, the Institute strongly encourages students to participate in extra-curricular clubs, inter-school competitions, industry events, fitness classes, and cultural events. These events are typically held on evenings and/or weekends, but the scheduling of these events allows students to manage their time effectively to develop critical skills such as Time Management, Team Work, Leadership, and Creative Skills. A complete and rounded College Experience allows students to actively participate in Day-to-Day College Activities while simultaneously providing students with a solid Industry-Oriented Education.

Industry Exposure at GIBS Business School is integrated into the curriculum as a continuous and structured part of instruction, rather than just one event. GIBS conducts the following types of activities to keep students connected with industry:

• Guest Speaker Series (also called Corporate Talks) are held on average every month to every other month throughout the term to bring industry leaders (many of whom are HR professionals) into campus as speakers to give Motivating Talks and share their insights about the industries they represent.
• Industry visits (multiple visits scheduled and organised each semester) allow students to gain first-hand knowledge of the operation of businesses in different industries, i.e. manufacturing, logistics, finance, and IT. These visits offer students a better understanding of the Industry from an operational perspective.
• Alumni Sessions & Webinars (held regularly by the GIBS alumni who return to campus for career events to share their career experiences) occur most frequently prior to placement and internship activities, during which time alumni are able to inform students of the expectations they had when they entered the workforce and give advice about how best to prepare for interviews.

The new GIBS Business School campus has been thoughtfully designed to provide students with hostel rooms and study areas that are comfortable, student-friendly, and conducive for both relaxing and studying. The hostel accommodations are furnished, well-ventilated, and contain the necessary features such as Wi-Fi, study desks, linens, and secure entrance access, which help to create a safe and secure living space for students. Students have access to several common study areas, relaxation areas, and quiet study zones where they can prepare for classes, work on class projects, and work with fellow students without distractions. Overall, the campus's facilities are an ideal balance of being comfortable, convenient, and supporting academics, allowing students to remain settled and focused for the entire semester.

During the placement season at GIBS Business School, Bangalore, over 260 firms came into the campus recruiting for their graduate students from all different fields of work which allowed students to receive multiple job offers. The various firms recruiting were from many different industries, including consulting, finance, IT/ITES, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), logistics and start-ups. This demonstrates that the school has a strong relationship with many businesses in these industries. Due to this success, almost all eligible graduates were placed in a job during the school's placement drive, thus allowing students to have a successful outcome upon graduation.

The GIBS Business School typically has an expected percentiles minimum for entrance exams (for admission to PGDM Programs), although these are, on average, the minimum percentiles expected of new applicants every year (country-wide) and therefore could change from year to year based on the applicant pool and “admissions trends”:

CAT/XAT/ATMA: a minimum percentile of around 60 is competitive for applicants to be shortlisted.

MAT: about a 60-64 percentile is considered a minimum acceptable score for an applicant in the general category.

CMAT: a minimum percentile of around 70 or higher.

There is no fixed or official cutoff published by GIBS, but it is important to note that GIBS uses a holistic admissions process, where scores from entrance exams are only one part of an applicant's total score, along with their GPA and performance during the interview and group discussion; therefore, meeting the above percentiles does increase an applicant's chance of being accepted to GIBS, but does not assure acceptance.

The MBA programme admissions at IILM University, Greater Noida requires that students submit the following as part of their application:

1. Academic transcripts for 10th grade (secondary school), 12th grade (senior secondary school); valid diploma/degree certificate; and additional documentation (e.g., 'mark sheets') that provide an evaluation of the candidate's academic performance

2. A copy of a valid entrance exam score card (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT) showing results of the test taken by the applicant

3. Proof of Identity i.e. Aadhaar# /Passport; a recent passport size photo of the applicant

4. An updated CV or Resume from the Applicant, and

5. If applicable; Certificates from Previous Employers, if available, to support the claim of work experience.

The above documentation will allow verification of the applicant's academic qualifications and verify eligibility to attend the MBA course at IILM University, Greater Noida and provide the basis to determine the applicants level of preparedness to continue with an MBA degree at IILM University, Greater Noida.

At GIBS, many students comment on how much professors are involved in student life outside of the classroom. Whether at events or during an orientation, professors can be seen helping new students transition to college by guiding them and motivating them, as well as ensuring everything is running smoothly. Professors are available to all students during mentor sessions and provide many helpful suggestions; professors also provide students with an opportunity to discuss their areas of study and career paths. The common thread among these activities is that professors are approachable, invite student participation, and encourage student confidence. Faculty participation in these activities has proven to provide students with a strong sense of community and belonging. The overall perception of professors' involvement in these activities is that they are supportive, engaging and goal-focused.

By focusing on interactive activities like case studies, live project work, role-play and simulation activities, using Management Games and Group Participation Activities throughout the programme allows students to be actively involved with their education rather than just listening to lectures from their professors. Workshops provide students with opportunities for hands-on practice of what they learned in class. They also provide students with opportunities to meet professionals working in various industries and to participate in Idea Pitching sessions and Entrepreneurial Challenges, which enable students to practice and develop the skills required to succeed when starting a business or working for someone else. Campus clubs, Cultural Activities, Fest days, Sports, and Innovation Activities create a unique atmosphere on campus where students can connect with each other in ways that promote collaboration and enjoyment while developing practical skills and confidence.
