Well, it is not a rocket Science, if you are considering to pursue hotel management, as your degree or Diploma course, you would just need to be an intermediate holder. That means, if you've passed your class 12th, then you are simple eligible for doing the course. It doesn't matter that from which stream you've passed it, or from which school you have cleared your class 12th. Having said this, many people does it after their regular graduation as well, like after completing their BA/B.Sc etc. There is no harm in it as well, but if you are already a graduate, then I would encourage you to pursue Masters in hotel management as MHM, instead doing BHM which is just a graduation. Also before jumping to any decision to select hotel management as a career option, it is always advised to analyses pros and cons, growth prospects, matching of work-profile with personality traits, etc. If the candidate is not willing to work in various profiles he may not be suitable for it as in hotel management an employee may be asked to work in management, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operation, sales and marketing, accounting or any other department depending upon the specific requirement. Vancouver Island University is an upcoming university ever since its transformation from Malaspina College to Malaspina University College and then eventually Vancouver Island University. It is currently not ranked in the QS World School Rankings to the best of my knowledge, simply because it is yet to participate and answer the survey sent by QS. It will eventually get in there, as it's number of offered courses and student enrollment increases, considering it's rivals are the University of Victoria, just 100 kms South to the main campus in Nanaimo, BC and the mighty University of British Columbia right across the Strait of Georgia. Vancouver Island University (VIU) can be considered to be at par with other universities, like Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC and to some extent the Royal Roads University, where the X-Men movie was shot, also in BC. VIU takes pride as a school that champions the rights and privileged of the First Nations Communities of Canada, especially the Snuneymux community, on whose land VIU lives, learns and plays. It has a sizeable international student enrolment, especially in its post graduate business programs and PG education programs. VIUs business school had notably won the Queens Cup for the 2017 National MBA games beating almost 20 other business schools across Canada.

Placement Wing:
Placement cell was in very poor condition till 2015. In between 2011 and 2015, placement of engineering department was zero. I have heard that placement for 2016 batch is 70% and average CTC is 3 LPA. If you have done UG from Jiwaji University, you can prepare for various competitive exams like bank, SSC, railways, NDA, etc.
Faculty:
As I already mentioned that there were only few qualified faculty members available and rest of them where hired on contract basis. Guest faculty members were GATE qualified but they had no teaching experience. Standard of the faculty members was normal actually the problem was not in the university but the problem was in the place, Gwalior is one of the worst places in India that's why the faculty members don't want to teach in Jiwaji University.
