Prepare all the topics listed in the syllabus. In case a topic gets left out, candidates will risk their chances of obtaining a high score.
Avoid picking a new topic.
Candidates must also select appropriate study material as it will help them understand the structure of entrance test.
Avoid any kind of guesswork. Negative marking is applicable in the exam and it is better to leave those questions whose answers candidates are unable to determine with conviction.

Although there are similarities between the curriculum of both, differences exist as well. A student pursuing MBA will be studying more of the theoretical aspects of management. An MBA institute will be following a fixed curriculum as it will be based on the university guidelines.
A student pursuing a PGDM course will be gaining knowledge regarding building soft skills and the programme is more industry-oriented. An autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards, so it is free to change it

Don't waste time in doing things and topics which are not much stressed upon.
Candidates should choose or select the appropriate study material so that they can easily understand it and it will help them to understand the structure of the exam.

Your spouse can apply for the visa while you are applying for the student visa. Now, the question is your profile. Any good university will require work experience, GMAT score and higher percentile. Also, you already have done M.Com so universities will question you why an MBA now? First check with some universities and then apply. Also, keep alternate options like Australia, France, Netherlands, etc.
