Hello Siddharth,
Placements after MBA is a totally different cup of tea as compared with placements after B.Tech. Recruiters look for spark, out of box ideas, the ability of analysis of given situation to find solutions as criteria for MBA candidates. They are not looking for core competency at graduation since it could be B.Com, BA, or anything.

The minimum aggregate should be 50 and above for almost all the colleges, but some colleges require a cut-off of 60 percent and above.

Yes, B.Tech percentage do matter if you are looking for MBA. During MBA when you will sit for summer internship interviews and final placement interviews, at that time recruiters put conditions on X/XII and Graduation marks. Its to better to keep graduation marks close to 70%, preferably above 70.

First, you need to define- what do you mean by a better career. If you mean money, then only and only ranking of your institute and campus placement record can help you to achieve that. If you mean landing a dream role and dream company, then you should be only in tier 1 institute.
