According to the prospectus, MCA (Master of Computer Applications) at NIELIT is a 3 year course (i.e. six semesters) leading to a MCA degree. Minimum working days in each semester would be 90 days or as per Mizoram University/AICTE norms. Maximum duration is 5 years. 

This course offers admission to 60 students. The fee for the course lies between Rs 1.5 Lacs to Rs 2 Lakh.

In order to get MCA admissions at GITAM University, Vishakhapatnam student need to meet the last educational qualification as per course requirement. To enrol for this course aspirants need to sit and appear for All India GITAM Science Admission Test (GAT) conducted by GITAM University and the rule of reservation, wherever applicable.

All students must appear for the All India GITAM Science Admission Test exam conducted every year for entrance. It is a computer-based exam that student can take up from multiple centers all across India. Based on the ranks, aspirants will be awarded merit scholarships and other guidance to join the university.

In order to apply for MCA course at GITAM University Visakhapatnam the candidate need to meet the last educational qualfication. Aspirants should pass BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent Degree. The other eligibility criteria is mentioned in the points below:

No, there is no step marking in NIMCET. Each correctly answered question will be awarded full marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to 25% negative mark. The candidates are advised not to attempt such questions if they are not sure of the correct answer. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if a question is unanswered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be negatively marked. The candidates have to mark the responses as per the instructions appearing in the screen of NIMCET online examination.
