Candidates must be 10th pass with a minimum of 55% marks with Mathematics and English as the mainstream subjects. In some states the minimum marks required for the 10thor equivalent exam is 35%. A candidate must have passed 10+2 or higher secondary examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved category). Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for JEE Mains provisionally. Eligibility for B.E Lateral Entry:
A candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognised board/University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for reserved category). The candidate must also attempt the PULEET Entrance test conducted by Panjab University for Lateral entry admissions.
