National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFT) is Best it is a government college situated in Ranchi Jharkhand. It comes under JoSAA counseling and one can get admission by doing choice filling in JoSAA counseling. The package is decent in NIFT and good government companies visit the campus for mechanical and metallurgical engineers.

Both are good engineering colleges. AS LPU alumni I would suggest LPU for mechanical engineering. The school of mechanical engineering, LPU is one of the best universities which provides quality education as well as placements to B.Tech mechanical students.
