Hello Manjunatha, perhaps I am hearing for the first time that someone doing Ph.D. or intending to do it is enquiring about placements. Normally speaking, one associates placements with graduation and not even PG. This is so since opportunities gets thinned out. Also by then one has invariably worked at few or many establishments and can negotiate better. Hence I feel that you should not worry about it. I am sure, even before completion of your Ph.D. you will get job offers. This is so since prospective employers always keep on the look out for highly qualified professionals. Best wishes to you.

You can go for M.Tech in mechanical engineering and also qualify GATE exam or CSIR NET exam in any subject like Physics or Maths. You can go for Ph.D. in any subject of interest like Physics Maths etc. Besides, you can go for Diploma course having short as well as longer time benefits.

The B.E. course total fee is about Rs. 5.20 Lakh. The placements in college are average and have the average salary package of Rs 3 LPA, while the highest salary package is about Rs 12 LPA in CSE. Mechanical placement are very poor and below the average.

Yes you can apply for the NET examination. Aspirants may appear for the examination with the subject in which they have completed their post-graduation or related to that subject as per the UGC NET exam guidelines.

B.Tech CSE is not passible for Mechanical Diploma holders. So pursue in Mechanical stream for qualification upgradation.

B.Tech lateral or AMIE are the best options for qualification upgradation. Railways, PWD, CPWD and Irrigation are the best options for employment.
