Hello Mohan, always remember the saying "where there is will, there is a way! Nothing stops anyone from entering the field of software. However it all depends on your intentions. If your aim is to get job then of course you need formal qualifications. There are enough examples in India and world where even uneducated have succeeded in building up empire in software industry. Please write about the college name for better response. However you are eligible for B. Des. Product Design after Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The eligibility criteria of B. Des. Product Design of NID Ahmadabad is given below. Eligibility : AICTE approved three-year Full time Diploma after Class X offered by Board of Technical Education of any state in India or Union Territories. Further for M.Des. Transport Design, You need to appear in the Common Entrance Examination for Design (A joint entrance exam for post-graduate studies in the field of technological design held annually jointly at all IITs and Indian Institute of Science

You can't get into any decent MBA college without appearing for an entrance test, I would recommend you to start preparing for next year's test you have ample amount of time to do so. All the best.

Hello Amar, it's indeed very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your Diploma while working. It's actually quite simple. You will have to find out institutions that are offering Diploma in engineering in evening hours and then speak to their administrative staff.
