Every courses are good at their respective places. It is you who has to introspect yourself in which field, you want to make career and if we compare both mechanical and CSE then I would suggest you to go with CSE rather than mechanical because with every business and organisation going digital, IT sector today is a booming field as compared to other sectors and there is a huge demand of computer Science engineers and programmers.

Lateral entry admission depends on the college and course you choose. It differs from college to college and course to course.

Hello KumKum,
Which is the best country to do Masters in mechanical engineering? It's a good query but my personal opinion is: India is the best country and IIT's are the best in this. However if you are thinking of studying abroad, which is perhaps easier than getting admission in an IIT, my personal opinion is Germany UK or US are the countries where you should go for your Masters. But then such opinions are really subjective and you must search the net to find out for yourself and then take a considered and educated decision as to which country you want to go.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Saurabh,
You have attempted JEE Mains examination conducted by the national testing agency and then you are asking the query as to which is the college that is good for mechanical engineering. I think what you are asking is which NIT is better because after giving JEE Mains examination aim is always to seek admission in one of the NIT. Right? I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about rankings of NIT in the country based on which you can decide to seek admission. https://www-shiksha-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.shiksha.com/b-tech/articles/amp/nits-in-india-blogId-20003?amp_js_v=a2&_gsa=1&usqp
