B.Tech Mechanical is four years UG programme and it is the oldest and the broadest engineering disciplines that applies engineering, physics, engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Admission in B.Tech is done through various entrance examinations like JEE Main/Advance etc. While B.Sc. (IT) Is a three years UG programme in information technology. The degree is normally required in order to work in the Information technology industry. The admission in most of leading colleges for B.Sc. (IT) are based on 12th merit. Further B.Tech (Mech) have great scope from job point of view in PSUs and government. Through GATE and can participate in Indian engineers services of UPSC also. So In my opinion B.Tech (Mech) have great weightage over B.Sc. (IT).

It might seem odd to draw a comparison between computer scientists and mechanical engineers. What could these professionals possibly have in common? A lot, it seems.
