Don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want to do after studying B.Tech. You may take the following considerations. If you like a computer, want to build crazy applications or something related to software go with Computer Science and Engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. After studying electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only a few get a chance in electronics companies. You can choose any of the streams. Give first priority to physics because it would be easy as compared to maths.

For similar PSUs like HPCL, BPCL and IOCL, management trainee, graduate trainee or engineering trainee means the same thing. They are put into the same grades as well and their jobs are same too, provided they are posted in the similar business units.
