Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 30006 and closing rank was 37579 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 40085 and 49517. Admission to Mechanical Engineering in IIEST Shibpur is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Due to the highest placement of 24 LPA and top recruiters like Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, Toshiba Mechanical Engineering placements were growing year by year resulting a huge demand which is a key factor in decrease in the cutoff of 2023 when compared to 2022 and 2021.
